I decided that I wanted to try and do my own version of Strat-o-matic Baseball's Ultimate Season. What happens is that every team (except Arizona and Tampa Bay) gets their best historical team picked and then placed into the league. This allows us to see how well the 1987 Tigers would fare against the 1998 Yankees, or how the 1993 Giants would compete with the 1993 Braves. Note: I wasn't able to always get the best team, as I only have a handful of seasons (1985, 1987, 1992-1993, 1998, 2003-2007).
Below are the divisions, with the chosen teams, their year of play, and their actual record. Daily, I will be updating the progress of the season. I will be playing the role of manager of the 1992 Toronto Blue Jays as I attempt to guide them to a World Series title. The schedule will be randomly generated with each team only playing within their own league (NO INTERLEAGUE PLAY). There will be no wild-card. Only division winners will advance to post-season play.
